I think it’s incredible when you get the opportunity to have a bride that is not afraid to push the envelope. I’m not your “typical” photographer that enjoys taking the traditional bridal shots that’s why I LOVE shooting these!

Doing a trash the dress session has allowed me to offer my brides a one of a kind bridal shoot. We include hair and makeup by Mink Artistry because I feel hair and makeup completes the whole experience. When they feel beautiful from head to toe, they become so much more confident. Giving them this added confidence pushes them to the limit and the result is BEAUTIFUL!

This Trash the Dress session was split up into two different days. Our first day turned out to be a BITTER cold windy day. I mean 26 degrees bitter cold. I loved how despite the cold weather she made it look effortless and even hung off the side of a building downtown (holding on to frozen steel no less). The second shoot we had the pleasure of dealing with much nicer weather with a high of 65.

She was very open to my suggestions and when asked what she thought about getting wet, her response was… ”I was afraid you were never going to ask me!”

In the end, despite bitter cold weather and knee-deep soaked jeans I feel that these shots are priceless and something she will cherish always. I’m hoping I get more brides down the road who are not afraid to get a little dirty…
