The response to our 100,000 visitors celebration has been great! We’ve received e-mails from several couples who would like to be involved in the Trash Party in New Orleans. I’ve also received inquiries from brides and photographers in other areas of the country.
So let’s just have a worldwide party, shall we? If you are a photogenic bride or groom interested in a TTD session, post a comment below. You don’t have to give your personal information out, just let us know where you are located. If enough people within a certain region show some interest, we’ll throw a TTD party in your area with some local photographers.
I know that a few photographers in the Virginia and Maryland area are planning a TTD party right now, I’ll get the info out asap.
I would love to trash my dress. It’s sitting in our closet right now, collecting dust. All of the pictures are beautiful and I since we don’t have great pictures of our wedding it would be a wonderful way to put on my dress and my husband a tux and take some great pictures!
I’m in Iowa and will be doing a trash the dress session after my wedding in December! I can’t wait! Our photographer has some great ideas for some winter trash the dress shots!
Don’t forget to let us know where you are located. If we get enough interest from a particular region, we’ll throw a party there. You don’t have to give your name, just your location. Once we announce a TTD party in your area, you can then contact the coordinator directly.

I’m a photographer based in New York City. I primarily shoot weddings in the New York/New Jersey area, but I frequently work with clients in Philly (I’m a South Central PA girl by birthright, shout out to my Amish country peeps), Baltimore, and Boston.
I’ve been dying to shoot a couple underwater or on a trampoline (think about it- billowing skirts, flying veils). Understandably, none of my clients have been up for it on their big day!
Jersey girls and East Coasters, I am sooo up for a gorgeous dress trashing. I can think of at least half a dozen beaches, fountains and/or waterfalls I’d love to work in. I’m so inspired that the first person to book a definite date for a dress trashing with me gets a completely free session with 100 complimentary 4″x6″ prints.

It’s just awesome to see so many brides and couples commenting in response to the call to celebrate your wedding in the way that YOU want to celebrate it — whether it’s the same day, immediately after the ceremony, in a second dress, or even weeks later. Just amazing. It gives photographers like ourselves such pleasure to be able to share in the sheer jubilation of the event in this way.
Just as incredible is that we’re seeing more and more couples on the East Coast who are willing to take such a leap of faith. You sort of expect it with destination weddings on a remote island get-away, or perhaps out West where the beaches are broad and sandy. But here on the East Coast we have a different sort of beauty — you might say a “trash” all its own. LOL!! The sessions we’ve had with brides have been fun-filled events with an emphasis on being yourself, but with a fashionable twist. How can you not love that!? And we’re hearing from moms lately that “Yes, the dress did get clean at the dry cleaners.”
As long as there are couples like the ones I’ve been reading in this thread, willing to take a few risks with your photographer, there is no doubt there will be even more beautiful imagery to come! I hope we get to meet a few of you.
I am a photographer that covers Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri, and would love to meet up with other photogs and brides that want to do this! I have a couple of my own lined up, including one this weekend with a bride, her groom, and their horses (and it is supposed to rain!). We don’t have beaches around here, but we can still get creative!

Please, please come to Chicago! Not for just the beach and park shots, but how about the L? Subway stations with tons of people rushing back and forth during rush hour, or sitting in the bleachers at Wrigley Field, under the clock at Macy’s (formerly Field’s), in front of the Art Institute, or even on a carriage ride or the ferris wheel at Navy Pier? There are so many quintessential Chicago activities and locations that most brides would never dream of doing/visiting on their day, so let the photographers get creative!

I think i’d be interested in doing this. Im in NYC. My dress has been sitting in my mothers basement for 3 yrs now. I wonder if it would still fit..LOL.

Megan- Photogenic simply means someone that won’t clam up in front of the camera. If we are shooting multiple couples, we won’t have time to coach everyone on how to be camera friendly. It doesn’t mean that we are only looking for attractive couples- a good photographer should know how to make any subject look their best, if the subject is loose, energetic, happy, and camera friendly.
I can see where the confusion would come in, hope that helps clear it up.
